A partial basement (one area or a half truck of stuff) runs $350 to $550. A full unfinished basement runs $475 to $650. A full finished basement with furniture and built-ins runs $650 to $850. No. Every basement has stairs, so we built them into the price instead of adding a surcharge on job day. Narrow or steep stairwells might push a job toward the top of the range, and we tell you that at the walk-through, not after.

Yes. Pittsburgh basements flood, and post-flood cleanouts are a regular job for us. Wet boxes, ruined carpet, swollen furniture, and waterlogged drywall all come out. If there's visible mold, we wear respirators and use sealed bags, and mold-safe disposal adds $100 to $200. If the mold is widespread, we'll tell you to bring in a remediation company first and come back after.

Yes, and they're included in the basement price. Washers, dryers, chest freezers, dehumidifiers, and electric water heaters we disconnect and carry ourselves. A gas water heater needs to be shut off and disconnected by a plumber before we arrive. Metal appliances go to a scrap recycler, not the landfill.

Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, propane tanks, and other hazardous chemicals. Pennsylvania rules keep those off our trucks. Allegheny County runs Household Chemical Collection events several times a year, and we'll tell you the next date when you call. Everything else in a typical basement is fair game.

Most full basements take 2 to 5 hours with a 3-person crew. A packed finished basement with built-ins can run a full day. A walk-out or Bilco-door basement is usually faster because we can load straight out the back instead of up the stairs.
